Basra: Basra Provincial Council Chairman Khalaf Lafta Al-Badran discussed with Badr Organization Secretary-General Hadi Al-Ameri a number of issues of concern to the governorate and preparations for the upcoming elections.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Council Chairman’s media office stated: “Al-Ameri and Al-Badran discussed the overall work of the Provincial Council and the service situation in Basra, and reviewed the achievements and service programs for the benefit of the governorate’s residents.”

The two sides also discussed the political and security situation in the country, preparations for the upcoming elections on November 11, and the form of political alliances that will participate in this democratic process.
