Muscat: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held consultations and exchanged views with his Omani counterpart, Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, on Saturday regarding arrangements for holding indirect talks with the United States.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi, who arrived in the Sultanate of Oman to hold talks with the US Special Envoy to the Middle East, engaged in discussions on the logistics and framework for the upcoming indirect negotiations in a meeting with the Omani Foreign Minister.
The agency noted that the Omani Foreign Minister is set to convene a similar meeting with the US Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, focusing on the same agenda.
Araqchi, leading a delegation of senior negotiators, emphasized key areas such as sanctions relief and nuclear issues, accompanied by relevant experts during his visit to Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman.
