Muscat: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that Tehran and Washington will continue their talks next week. Araqchi revealed in a press statement that the Iranian and American delegations met briefly after leaving the talks.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the round of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington on the nuclear issue and the lifting of sanctions ended just hours after its commencement. The Iranian Foreign Ministry highlighted that the discussions occurred in a positive atmosphere, emphasizing the principle of mutual respect, and lasted for more than two and a half hours.
Furthermore, the Iranian Foreign Ministry reported that the heads of the Iranian and American delegations spoke for a few minutes in the presence of the Omani Foreign Minister before departing the talks venue. Earlier, the Ministry had announced the initiation of indirect talks between Iran and the United States in Muscat, the capital of Oman.
