Cairo: A leading source in the Hamas movement confirmed in a press briefing today, Saturday, that the movement has not received any new ideas or proposals regarding a ceasefire or resuming the prisoner exchange deal between the resistance and Israel.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the source indicated that a delegation from the movement’s leadership will arrive in Cairo today to listen to proposals and ideas put forward by the Egyptian side, expressing hope that the meetings will result in a real breakthrough that will pave the way for a ceasefire and ensuring the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.

He explained: “Everything being circulated in the Israeli media so far regarding progress in the exchange deal is nothing more than evasive attempts and media hype to mislead the families of Israeli prisoners held by the resistance.”

The source affirmed the resistance’s commitment to the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement signed last January, emphasizing the need to complete the implementation of all its phases and provisions.

The leader called on mediators and guarantors to pressure Israel to commit to implementing the terms of the agreement after its reversal.
