Kirkuk: Hassan Toran announced his resignation from the presidency of the Iraqi Turkmen Front. Toran stated in a press release, “Today, Sunday, I submitted my resignation from the presidency of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, wishing whoever assumes this task after me success and I will be their supporter, backer, and ally.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Toran pledged that he would remain “a soldier defending the just Turkmen cause, keen on the unity of Iraq, and committed to the principles of the Iraqi Turkmen Front,” without explaining the reasons for his resignation.
