Al-Ghalay: The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) will receive applications to register political alliances from the middle of this month until May 4: The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) has announced the commencement of the application process for political alliances seeking to participate in the upcoming 2025 Iraqi Council of Representatives elections. The registration period will start from Tuesday of this week and conclude on Sunday, May 4.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Commission spokesperson Jumana al-Ghalay provided details regarding the registration process in a press statement. Al-Ghalay stated, “The Commission has set the stage for receiving applications for registering political alliances wishing to participate in the 2025 Iraqi Council of Representatives elections, starting April 15th and ending May 4th.” Applications are to be submitted in person by visiting the Department of Political Parties and Organizations Affairs.
