Baghdad: The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced the postponement of demonstrations in support of the Palestinian cause until further notice, in order to support political efforts for the Palestinian cause.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Saleh al-Iraqi, Sadr’s minister, stated in a brief comment, “In the name of God, in order not to become a hindrance to the progress of political efforts in the Palestinian cause… it is in the best interest to postpone Friday’s demonstrations until further notice… and God is the Grantor of success.”
