Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has issued a directive mandating all Ministers to conduct at least two visits per month to all governorates. The objective of these visits is to achieve positive and tangible results in areas impacting citizens’ lives.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the fifteenth regular session of the Council of Ministers chaired by al-Sudani, discussions centered around the country’s general developments, the implementation of the government program, and decisions on various agenda items. Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of Ministries focusing on revenue maximization and preparing suitable implementation mechanisms.

The Council decided to recognize Easter by granting an official holiday to members of the Christian community on the 20th and 21st of the month. The Prime Minister extended congratulations to Christian citizens. Additionally, he congratulated the Yazidi community on their New Year, which is recognized as a holiday according to the law.

In a move to bolster the private sector, the Council approved and referred the draft law on public-private partnerships to the Council of Representatives, taking into account observations from the Legal Department of the General Secretariat. Furthermore, mechanisms and controls for issuing sovereign guarantees to the Iraqi private sector were approved, aligning with the General Budget Law for the next three years, to support manufacturers in completing production lines.
