Washington: US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he has established a deadline to secure a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia. He expressed optimism regarding the potential to end the ongoing conflict between the two nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump made these remarks to reporters before his meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr St¸re. He stated, "I have a deadline, and after that, it will be a very different situation, but I see a strong chance of achieving this agreement."

Trump emphasized the necessity for Russia and Ukraine to engage in negotiations to resolve their differences.
