Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani offered his condolences to the Islamic nation on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him).
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani expressed his sentiments in a post on the (X) platform, stating, "We offer our condolences to the Islamic nation on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the sixth of the Imams and the extension of the Muhammadan message, Imam Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq (peace be upon him and upon the Prophet of the Nation, Muhammad ibn Abdullah)."
He further elaborated on the significant contributions of Imam al-Sadiq, saying, "Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) represented a comprehensive school of jurisprudence, ethics, and natural sciences. Jurists of various sects and religions drew from his abundant knowledge, and scholars to this day acknowledge his merits and recognize his precedence." Al-Sudani concluded his message with a prayer, "May God reward all Muslims greatly on the anniversary of this painful tragedy, and may He make us among those who follow and are guided by the guidance of the Imams from the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them)."
