Sulaymaniyah: The Ministry of Interior announced, on Thursday, the arrest of 22 infiltrators who attempted to cross the border illegally.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the Relations and Media Department at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, stated that the arrests were made as part of the Border Forces Command's mission to combat infiltration and smuggling. The operation was carried out by the Third Regiment of the Third Border Brigade, which operates within the First Region Border Command. The infiltrators were apprehended within the administrative borders of Sulaymaniyah Governorate.

Brigadier General Miri further mentioned that a formal arrest report was prepared, and the necessary legal measures were taken against those involved in the illegal crossing attempt.
