University of Diyala Achieves Second Place Among Iraqi Institutions in Asian Rankings

Diyala: The University of Diyala has secured second place among 18 Iraqi universities that were featured in the Times Higher Education Asian University Rankings for 2025.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President of the University of Diyala, Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, expressed his congratulations to the students on this achievement, marking it as a significant milestone in the global academic arena. The university was placed in the 600+ category, highlighting its growing recognition.

Mubarak attributed this success to the concerted efforts of faculty members, researchers, the World Rankings Committee, and college deans. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the current momentum to further elevate the university's academic reputation and prestige.

Khaled Ghadhban, head of the World Rankings Unit at the university, elaborated on the criteria for the rankings. The Times Higher Education Asian University Rankings assess universities based on teaching and scientific research environments, research quality, and international openness.
