Baghdad: Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, discussed regional developments and the situation in Lebanon with the Lebanese Ambassador to Baghdad, Ali al-Habhab. During the meeting, al-Hakim highlighted the significance of strengthening bilateral relations between Baghdad and Beirut to benefit both countries.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim underlined the importance of addressing the aftermath of the recent war, emphasizing the need for relief efforts for the displaced and facilitating their return. He also affirmed his support for Lebanon's sovereignty and its control over its territories.
Al-Hakim provided insights into Iraq's current situation, noting the upcoming Arab Summit to be hosted in the country. He stressed the summit's potential to generate recommendations that align with the challenges facing the Arab and Islamic world.
