Jordanian MP Declares Upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad a Historic Milestone

Baghdad: A member of the Arab Parliament has confirmed that the forthcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad will serve as a historic milestone for Arab leaders, marking a significant moment for the Arab position in addressing the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Head of the Jordanian Parliamentary delegation, MP Mujhim Al-Suqour, emphasized the unanimous approval by the Arab Parliament of the Palestine Committee's report. This report highlights the necessity of establishing Arab funds to support Palestinians, who have not received salaries for over two years, including government sector workers. Al-Suqour stressed the importance of intensified efforts to assist Palestinians in Palestine and Gaza and condemned the international support for actions by the Israeli government.

Al-Suqour expressed that it is crucial for Arab nations to take a firm stance against the violations and crimes committed against the Palestinian people. He conveyed that the Jordanian delegation has urged Arab countries to cut diplomatic ties with Israel as a form of protest.

He further explained that the Arab Parliament's meeting in Baghdad, ahead of the Arab Summit, sends a strong message to Arab leaders about the need for unity and a cohesive Arab national stance. Al-Suqour praised Iraq's progress in construction, reconstruction, and infrastructure development, viewing it as foundational for the country's stability and growth.

Al-Suqour concluded by reiterating that the Arab Summit in Baghdad will be a pivotal event for Arab presidents, enhancing the Arab position in addressing regional issues.
