Al-Hakim Emphasizes Strengthening Iraq-Britain Bilateral Relations

Baghdad: The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, has underscored the significance of bolstering and enhancing the bilateral relations between Iraq and Britain. During a meeting held this Monday morning with the newly appointed British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, al-Hakim extended a warm welcome to Siddiq as he takes on the role of leading his country's diplomatic mission in Iraq. He emphasized the need for both nations to work collaboratively in developing these relations to benefit their mutual interests.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hakim elaborated on the evolving dynamics within the region, emphasizing Iraq's pursuit of regional stability and the empowerment of its citizens to fully utilize the country's resources and potential. He also pointed out the political, social, and security stability that Iraq is currently experiencing, signaling a period of recovery. Al-Hakim advocated for economic reforms and the diversification of income sources as essential steps forward.

He highlighted that Iraq offers promising opportunities and is open to welcoming foreign investments, which would serve the interests of all parties involved.
