Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command forces arrested a number of suspects on various charges, including possession of unlicensed weapons and drugs.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the command stated in a statement: "The joint detachments arrested a number of suspects and seized unlicensed weapons and ammunition, narcotics, and drug paraphernalia in their possession, in addition to four foreigners in violation of residency and citizenship requirements on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa."

It explained: "These practices were intended to enhance security and stability and prevent anyone who dares to tamper with the security and safety of citizens throughout the capital."
