Tehran: The Iranian Communications Infrastructure Company has revealed that it successfully thwarted a major cyber attack on Sunday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported that the company's chairman described the incident as one of the most extensive and complex cyber attacks ever attempted against the country's infrastructure. However, the chairman did not provide additional details about the nature of the attack, the entities responsible, or the intended objectives.
This announcement follows a significant explosion at Rajaee Port on Saturday, which resulted in the deaths of 40 people and left nearly 1,000 others injured. The proximity of these events has raised concerns about the security of Iran's critical infrastructure.
