Iraq Expresses Readiness to Host Upcoming Arab Summit


Muscat: Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has confirmed Iraq’s preparedness to host the upcoming Arab Summit in May, hoping for outcomes that will bolster joint Arab efforts and regional stability.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from Iraq’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs detailed that Fuad Hussein, who also serves as Deputy Prime Minister, met with Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman. The meeting took place at the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Muscat, during an official visit aimed at enhancing bilateral ties and discussing developments across regional and international spheres.



Minister Hussein expressed Iraq’s willingness to take on the responsibility of hosting the summit, emphasizing the potential for the gathering to yield beneficial results that could strengthen Arab cooperation and foster stability and progress within the region.
