Dhi Qar: A large fire broke out in Al-Jabaish district, east of Nasiriyah, the capital of Dhi Qar Governorate, consuming more than 45 dunums of land planted with wheat and barley crops.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a Dhi Qar police source stated that "the fire broke out suddenly and consumed large areas of crops before civil defense teams were able to control it." He added, "The cause of the fire is still unknown."

The source confirmed that "the incident did not result in any human casualties."
