Al-Sudani Highlights Political and Security Significance of Upcoming Arab Summits in Baghdad

Baghdad: Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, has emphasized that the successful organization of the upcoming regular and developmental Arab summits in Baghdad would signify a political and security triumph for Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Sudani's media office detailed his visit to the National Command Center (NCC) at the Ministry of Interior, where he reviewed ongoing preparations for the Arab Summit set to take place in Baghdad this month. During his visit, al-Sudani expressed appreciation for the security services, commending their exceptional performance under various circumstances.

The statement highlighted al-Sudani's emphasis on the plans prepared by the security services for the summits in the capital. He stressed the importance of continuous coordination between the security agencies to ensure the event's success and to portray Iraq positively on the international stage. Additionally, al-Sudani pointed out that the development summit aims to enhance investment opportunities in Iraq across multiple sectors, which he identified as a primary goal.
