Iran Condemns Israeli Raids on Syria, Calls for International Action

Tehran: The Iranian Foreign Ministry commented on Saturday on the Israeli raids that targeted several areas in Syria, resulting in deaths and injuries. The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement: "We strongly condemn the military attacks launched by the Zionist entity on various areas in Syria."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement further elaborated that the true goal of the "Israeli entity is to destroy Syria's defense, economic, and infrastructure capabilities." The ministry emphasized Tehran's "principled and firm position on the necessity of preserving Syria's unity, sovereignty, and dignity as an independent state and a civilized people who influence the security and stability of the West Asia region."

The statement also highlighted the need for "urgent and effective measures from the international community, especially from the countries of the region," to halt the Israeli attacks on Syria. This call to action comes in the wake of violent airstrikes by Israeli aircraft at dawn, targeting various Syrian sites and resulting in casualties. The airstrikes were accompanied by intense and continuous flights over Hama, Daraa, Damascus, and the Syrian coast.
