Iranian Defense Minister Threatens to Target All US Interests and Bases with Force If His Country Is Attacked

Tehran: Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh confirmed, in response to US threats, that Tehran will respond forcefully and target all US interests and bases in the region if it is attacked.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the minister stressed that “we have no hostility toward neighboring countries, but US bases are targets for us if we are attacked.” He noted that “the Qasem Basir missile is resistant to electronic warfare and can bypass anti-ballistic missile systems.”

Mehr News Agency reported that Iran unveiled a new ballistic missile last night called the “Qasem Basir,” which is the latest achievement in the military industry. This missile has a range of at least 1,200 kilometers.

The Minister added, “The Qasem Nasir missile is more maneuverable and achieves its targets under all conditions, thanks to its new guidance and control system and its carbon fiber body, which keeps the missile largely invisible to radar.”

He continued, “The warhead of the Qasem Nasir missile can bypass all defenses, including the THAAD anti-ballistic missile system, which uses satellite guidance, and advanced interceptor missiles.” He emphasized that “this operational experience is the result of the technical knowledge gained from the major missile operations of Al-Waad Al-Sadiq 1 and 2.”
