Erbil: A seismic event measuring 2.3 degrees on the Richter scale was recorded approximately 30 kilometers north of Erbil Governorate in the Kurdistan Region. This earthquake was detected by the seismic observatories of the Meteorological Authority on Tuesday evening.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Meteorological Authority released a statement indicating that the tremor was not felt by the citizens in the area.
