Al-Hakim Stresses Fiscal Reforms to Tackle Economic Issues


Baghdad:According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ammar Al-Hakim, the head of the National State Forces Alliance, underscored the necessity of rationalizing spending and increasing revenues to address financial hurdles. He made these remarks during a meeting with Suzan Abdullah, the Head of the General Commission for Monitoring the Allocation of Federal Revenues, and her delegation.



During the meeting, they discussed the significant financial and economic challenges currently confronting the state. The focus was on improving the efficiency and fairness of federal revenue management across different sectors and levels.



Al-Hakim emphasized the need for national efforts to bolster oversight and financial institutions, enabling them to fulfill their constitutional and legal responsibilities effectively. He pointed out the importance of rationalizing spending and boosting revenues to manage financial challenges and tackle economic crises through a sustainable strategic approach.



He also highlighted the significance of enhancing financial efficiency and prioritizing financial and administrative reforms to achieve economic stability. These measures aim to reduce the impact of financial fluctuations on the general budget.



Suzan Abdullah presented the Authority’s current plans, emphasizing their diligent efforts to ensure effective oversight of the allocation and distribution of imports in an equitable and transparent manner.
