Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein highlighted discussions on energy and gas cooperation with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a joint press conference. He emphasized Azerbaijan’s status as a gas-rich nation and expressed Iraq’s interest in benefiting from its resources.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the two ministers explored opportunities for collaboration in energy and gas sectors, as well as in tourism and educational exchanges between their countries. Hussein also urged Azerbaijani companies to consider investing in Iraq’s gas sector, aiming to strengthen economic ties and mutual growth.

Additionally, the ministers addressed regional stability, underscoring the importance of resolving disputes and tensions between India and Pakistan through peaceful dialogue and negotiations.
