Luxembourg: Six European countries, including Spain, Ireland, and Norway, have expressed strong opposition to Israel’s new plan to expand its military operations in Gaza. They condemned the plan, stating it would constitute a violation of international law.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the foreign ministers of Spain, Ireland, Norway, Slovenia, Iceland, and Luxembourg issued a joint statement on Wednesday. They warned that Israel’s long-term presence in Gaza would undermine the viability of a two-state solution and exacerbate the situation for Palestinian civilians.
The statement emphasized that Gaza is an integral part of the State of Palestine and belongs to the Palestinian people. The ministers reaffirmed their support for a two-state solution and urged Israel to ensure Palestinians receive unhindered humanitarian aid.
