Baghdad: Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the importance of confronting the repercussions of current regional challenges on an Iraqi level. He called for greater unity, cohesion, and harmony to address these issues, advocating for a balanced approach that neither underestimates nor exaggerates the situation.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a meeting with a media delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, al-Hakim highlighted his commitment to Syria’s unity and stability as a precursor to regional stability. He emphasized the need for protection for all components of Syria and the involvement of all segments of the Syrian population in determining their political future.
Al-Hakim reiterated his support for the Palestinian people, especially those in Gaza, urging the international community to pressure Israel to cease its aggression, allow aid into Gaza, and support the Strip’s reconstruction. He affirmed Iraq’s ongoing political, logistical, and media support for the Palestinian and Lebanese people.
Furthermore, al-Hakim noted that Iraq is currently experiencing political, security, social, and economic stability. He held all parties responsible for transforming this stability into a sustainable state. He pointed out the upcoming elections in Iraq as a crucial step towards lasting stability, calling for competition based on programs and services and encouraging widespread and conscious participation from the populace.
