Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received members of the House of Representatives and provincial councils from the National Wisdom Movement bloc. The meeting revolved around critical national and regional issues, as well as the progress of the government’s program, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s media office.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions reviewed the implementation of government programs, focusing on completing remaining sections in various sectors and continuing development and service projects across all governorates. Al-Sudani emphasized the need for strengthened integration between executive and legislative authorities to achieve service and economic targets, underscoring the consolidation of development gains.

Additionally, the National Wisdom Movement members expressed their support for the government’s development path, highlighting its focus on priorities impacting citizens’ lives. The dialogue also underscored the necessity of preparing for the upcoming parliamentary elections in November, emphasizing the importance of broad participation to ensure the outcomes reflect the people’s true will and aspirations, and to advance reconstruction and development plans throughout Iraq.
