Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi underscored the importance of restoring stability in the Middle East, particularly in the Gaza Strip, during their meeting in Moscow. The leaders emphasized the need to intensify efforts to prevent regional escalation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions between the two presidents revolved around regional and international issues of mutual interest, as well as strategies to enhance bilateral relations across various sectors. A significant focus was placed on ongoing initiatives to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to alleviate the crisis in the region.

The dialogue also included the critical need for a final resolution to the Palestinian issue, advocating for the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967, borders as a cornerstone for achieving lasting peace. Additionally, the meeting addressed the situations in Syria, Libya, and Sudan, as well as the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
