Commander-in-Chief Orders Return of Iraqi Trainees from Pakistan Amid Situation


Baghdad: The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, has ordered the return of a regiment of 500 officers and enlisted personnel from the Second Regiment of the Sixty-Sixth Brigade of the Second Special Forces Division. These personnel are currently in Pakistan, where they were undergoing training under a prior agreement. This decision has been made due to the current situation in Pakistan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, “This step comes out of concern for the safety of our heroic armed forces personnel. The necessary measures have been taken by the Ministry of Defense to return them to Iraq.”
