Baghdad: The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced that Iraq ranked third as the largest oil exporter to the United States last week.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the average US crude oil imports last week from ten major countries reached 5.269 million barrels per day, an increase of 176,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, which averaged 5.093 million barrels per day.

The EIA stated that Iraq’s oil exports to the United States reached an average of 229,000 barrels per day, making Iraq the third largest oil exporter to the United States last week. The largest oil imports to the United States last week came from Canada, followed by Mexico, then Iraq, Colombia, and Saudi Arabia.

The EIA further indicated that the amount of US crude oil imports continued to come from Ecuador, Venezuela, Brazil, Nigeria, and Libya.
