Antalya: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan engaged in significant discussions with his Ukrainian counterpart, Andriy Sepia, focusing on efforts to establish a ceasefire and a lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia. The meeting took place on the sidelines of an informal gathering of NATO foreign ministers in the southwestern Turkish city of Antalya, which is currently hosting the foreign ministers of the 32 NATO member states.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions highlighted Turkey’s readiness to support peace initiatives, including mediation and hosting negotiations to resolve the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan emphasized the importance of these efforts during his meeting with Sepia, reinforcing Turkey’s commitment to facilitating dialogue between the conflicting parties.

Additionally, the two ministers discussed arrangements for the upcoming visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Turkey, scheduled for Thursday. This visit is expected to further strengthen diplomatic ties and collaborative efforts towards achieving peace in the region.
