Antalya: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed his concern over the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip following his conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Rubio stated that the United States is aware of the suffering faced by the people of Gaza, noting that no humanitarian aid has been delivered since March 2.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the situation in Gaza has been further exacerbated by the siege and starvation, with UN agencies issuing new warnings about the deteriorating conditions. The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has emphasized that agreements with the US include the immediate entry of aid into the region.

The World Food Program has highlighted the worsening humanitarian crisis, pointing out that families in Gaza are “starving” while food aid remains stalled at the border. Their latest data indicates that food security in the Gaza Strip has reached a critical stage.

The World Health Organization has also raised alarms, stating that “time is running out to save lives in the Gaza Strip” due to the severe shortages of medicines, supplies, and equipment affecting the health system.

Israel’s blockade has prevented food and medicine from entering Gaza for the 75th consecutive day. This is part of what some describe as a war of extermination against the Palestinians in the Strip, following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to backtrack on a ceasefire agreement reached last January.
