Tirana: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will head to Albania tomorrow, Friday, to participate in the sixth summit of the European Political Community.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Turkish Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun stated that President Erdogan’s visit aims to attend the summit hosted by Albania. Erdogan is expected to deliver a speech at the main session, which will address the theme “A New Europe in a New World: Unity – Cooperation – Joint Action.”

During the summit, Erdogan is also scheduled to engage in discussions with European leaders. These meetings will focus on the peaceful resolution of regional and global conflicts, as well as matters concerning security, stability, and prosperity in Europe.

The European Political Community was established in 2022 following a proposal by French President Emmanuel Macron. It consists of 44 countries from both within and outside the European Union. The formation of the group was prompted by increasing tensions with Russia, following its invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
