Baghdad: Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani discussed bilateral relations and regional and international developments with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on Saturday. A statement from al-Sudani's media office announced, "The Prime Minister held a bilateral meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who headed his country's delegation to the 34th Arab Summit, held today, Saturday, in the capital, Baghdad."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, they explored ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations in various fields and discussed regional and international developments of common interest. The discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation and understanding between the two nations.

For his part, the Emir of Qatar congratulated Iraq on chairing the Arab Summit, praising the procedures for organizing the summit and the messages and positions it contained that support strengthening partnerships and economic and trade relations, thus contributing to establishing the foundations of security and stability.
