Moscow: Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that a phone call between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump is scheduled for this evening. Peskov informed reporters that the conversation will take place at 5:00 PM Moscow time.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the scheduled call between the two leaders follows a discussion held yesterday by a group of European leaders with President Trump regarding the Ukraine crisis. This prior dialogue set the stage for the anticipated communication between Trump and Putin today, Monday.

This marks the second phone call between the Russian and US presidents since Trump took office last January. In an interview with ABC News, US President Donald Trump’s special envoy for peace, Steve Witkoff, conveyed his hope for a successful outcome from the upcoming conversation between the two presidents.
