The Dollar Exchange Rate Declines in Baghdad and Erbil Markets


Baghdad: The dollar exchange rate against the Iraqi dinar experienced a decline on Wednesday in the markets of Baghdad and Erbil governorates as the stock exchange concluded its trading activities.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the exchange rate dropped with the closure of Baghdad’s two primary stock exchanges, Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya, ending at 142,250 dinars per $100. Earlier in the day, the rate stood at 142,700 dinars per $100.



Local market exchanges in Baghdad saw a decrease in selling prices, which fell to 143,250 dinars per $100, while the buying price was recorded at 141,250 dinars per $100. In Erbil, the dollar’s value also decreased, with the selling price recorded at 142,350 dinars per $100 and the buying price at 142,150 dinars per $100.
