Baghdad: The Counter-Terrorism Service announced on Wednesday the arrest of four drug dealers in the governorates of Dhi Qar, Najaf, and Basra.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the CTS conducted a series of operations aimed at combating the drug trade in various parts of the country.
The CTS’s forces launched two special operations in Dhi Qar Governorate, resulting in the arrest of two drug dealers. In a separate operation, a drug dealer was apprehended in Najaf Governorate. The operations concluded with the arrest of another drug dealer in Basra Governorate.
The CTS emphasized its ongoing commitment to carrying out special operations to combat both terrorism and drug-related activities, with the ultimate goal of achieving a secure and stable Iraq.
