Baghdad: National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji affirmed that strengthening national cohesion is a fundamental pillar in facing future challenges. Al-Araji made this assertion during a meeting with Sheikh Saad al-Nayef and several sheikhs and dignitaries from the Salah al-Din and Anbar governorates.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Araji’s meeting focused on ways to enhance civil peace and the role of religious scholars in supporting stability and consolidating security through cooperation with security forces. The discussion highlighted the importance of unifying religious and political discourse to face challenges and preserve the government’s achievements in the security, social, and service sectors.

Al-Araji praised the role of the religious establishment and national tribes in maintaining authentic societal values and their historical support for the state and its institutions. He reiterated that strengthening national cohesion is crucial in confronting future challenges.

The sheikhs expr
essed their full support for the state’s initiatives and their continued readiness to contribute to consolidating security and stability across all governorates. They emphasized the importance of continuous communication with security and government leaders to achieve citizens’ aspirations.
