Araqchi Warns of No Agreement if US Demands Zero Uranium Enrichment

Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi emphasized that there will be no agreement if the United States insists on zero uranium enrichment, asserting that it is time to make a decision.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi expressed his views in a post on the “X” platform, stating: “On the eve of my trip to Rome for the fifth round of indirect negotiations with America… The equation for reaching an agreement is not complicated: Zero nuclear weapons = we have an agreement, Zero enrichment = no agreement.” He emphasized the urgency by adding, “It’s time to make a decision.”

In a television interview last night, Araqchi reiterated that the American side does not acknowledge Iran’s right to enrich uranium. He warned that if zero enrichment is their goal, then an agreement is unlikely. The Iranian delegation departed for Rome this Friday morning to engage in the fifth round of indirect negotiations with the United States of America.
