Baghdad: Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Abbas Jabr Al-Maliki, received the Director-General of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD), Dr. Nasreddin Al-Obaid, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation in the agricultural and research fields.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Obaid praised the role of the Minister and the Ministry in achieving food security by attaining self-sufficiency and a surplus in the strategic wheat crop. He emphasized the importance of transferring the mechanisms and technologies used in Iraq to other Arab countries, highlighting the success story achieved in this sector.
