Baghdad: Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed al-Abadi met with the Charg© d’Affaires of the US Embassy, Steven Fagin, to discuss bilateral relations in the oil, gas, and energy sectors.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated in a press release that the meeting was attended by the Director of the Economic Section, Eric Camus, the Senior Advisor to the Ambassador, Ali Hassoun, and Jill Barwick from the Economic Section. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the energy field.

The meeting underlined the importance of enhancing the collaboration between Iraq and the United States to advance shared interests in the oil and gas industry. Both parties emphasized the potential for growth and the benefits of mutual cooperation in these critical sectors.
