Damascus:Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi visited the shrine of Sayyida Zaynab (peace be upon her) in Damascus, Syria, accompanied by Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during his visit, the Prime Minister performed rituals of visitation and prayer at the holy shrine and toured its grounds.
Al-Zaidi made a significant donation of $10 million from his personal funds, with $5 million allocated to meet the needs of the holy shrine and another $5 million directed to the Umayyad Mosque.
