Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that its air defense systems shot down 96 Ukrainian drones overnight, and a total of 148 Ukrainian drones over the past 24 hours.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry detailed in a statement: “From 20:00 Moscow time on May 25, operational air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 96 Ukrainian drones, including 31 over the Bryansk region, 16 over the Belgorod region, 11 over the Kursk region, 9 over the Tula region, 8 over the Oryol region, 6 over the Moscow region, 5 over the Kaluga region, 4 over the Ivanovo region, 2 over the Ryazan region, 2 over the Vladimir region, and 1 each over the Yaroslavl region and the Republic of Tatarstan.”
The statement added: “In total, during the raids extending from 10:00 Moscow time on May 25 until 8:00 Moscow time on May 26, 148 Ukrainian drones were shot down over a number of Russian provinces.”
