Baghdad: The Iraqi government has strongly condemned the ongoing starvation policy being inflicted on Palestinians in Gaza. This statement comes amid growing concerns over the severe humanitarian crisis faced by the people in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Iraqi government spokesman Bassem Al-Awadi highlighted in a statement that the actions of the Zionist entity have blatantly disregarded all humanitarian and legal considerations. He emphasized that these actions, which include a blockade and the prevention of humanitarian and food aid, are being used as tools to further harm Palestinians.

Al-Awadi further urged Arab and Islamic countries, alongside the international community and organizations, to take responsibility and exert maximum pressure to ensure the delivery of relief and food supplies. He stressed the urgency of this call in light of what he described as the entity’s intransigence and insistence on waging a comprehensive war that risks creating famine among the besieged population of Gaza.
