Foreign Minister of Iraq Receives Important Message from Omani Sultan to President


Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, engaged in a significant diplomatic exchange today with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Iraq, Mahmoud bin Muhanna Al-Kharousi. The ambassador delivered a written message from Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, to the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement highlighting that the meeting focused on the robust bilateral relations between Iraq and Oman, which are currently experiencing continuous growth across various fields. The discussions underscored the Iraqi government’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Oman in political, economic, and cultural areas, with an emphasis on establishing new avenues for a strategic partnership.



Fuad Hussein expressed his gratitude to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq for the cordial reception during his recent visit to Oman, acknowledging Muscat’s vital role in fostering regional dialogue and bolstering joint Arab initiatives. Both parties reiterated the strong historical connections between the two nations, expressing optimism for a promising future partnership that aims to achieve economic and security integration within the region.
