President and Judiciary Head Emphasize Rule of Law and Public Confidence


Baghdad: President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and the Head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidan, underscored the importance of respecting the rule of law and enhancing citizens’ confidence in constitutional institutions.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a presidential statement reported that President Rashid met with Judge Zidan to discuss developments in the country’s general situation. They emphasized the necessity of respecting the rule of law and reinforcing citizens’ trust in constitutional institutions, thereby consolidating their role in serving the public interest.



President Rashid commended the judiciary’s role in promoting principles of integrity and transparency. He stressed the importance of ongoing constructive cooperation among the three branches of government to enhance the stability of state institutions and serve the nation’s supreme interest.



Judge Zidan affirmed the Supreme Judicial Council’s dedication to implementing justice and the rule of law. He stated that the judiciary is committed to developing judicial work mechanisms and meeting citizens’ expectations for law enforcement.
