Al-Mashhadani Discusses Electricity, Water, and Investment Issues with Turkish Ambassador


Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani received Anil Bora Inan, the Turkish Ambassador to Baghdad, on Tuesday, and discussed with him a number of issues of common interest and bilateral relations between Iraq and Turkey.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mashhadani emphasized the strong brotherly and friendly relations between Iraq and Turkey, highlighting the importance of strengthening and advancing these ties to achieve mutual benefits and preserve the sovereignty and security of both nations.



The Turkish Ambassador provided an overview of Prime Minister Mohammed Al-Sudani’s recent visit to Turkey, describing it as a success. He also extended his congratulations on the successful Arab Summit held in Baghdad.



The discussions during the meeting covered several critical areas, including electricity and energy issues, with a focus on the involvement of Turkish companies. Water resource management was also addressed, emphasizing adherence to international agreements between the two countries. Additionally, the investment sector and future cooperation prospects were discussed.



Concluding the meeting, the Ambassador extended an official invitation to Al-Mashhadani from Numan Kurtulmus, Speaker of the Turkish National Assembly, to visit Turkey.
