Baghdad: President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received the head of the Anti-Terrorism Service, Lieutenant General Karim Al-Tamimi, and emphasized the need to strengthen the capabilities of the armed forces to confront any terrorist threats.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President highlighted the importance of bolstering military readiness to ensure national security. The meeting focused on the strategic measures required to enhance the operational efficiency of the armed forces. President Rashid underscored the urgency of addressing potential terrorist activities to safeguard the nation’s stability.

During the discussions, Lieutenant General Al-Tamimi briefed the President on current anti-terrorism efforts and outlined future plans aimed at fortifying the defense mechanisms. The conversation also touched upon the importance of inter-agency cooperation and the integration of advanced technologies in counter-terrorism operations.
