Moscow: Iraq and Turkey have engaged in discussions to advance their security cooperation and coordination in combating terrorism and exchanging information. The discussions took place in Moscow, involving Iraq’s National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji and the Secretary-General of the Turkish National Security Council, Okay Memis.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting emphasized the importance of sustaining and developing the strategic relationship between Iraq and Turkey. Both parties reviewed bilateral relations and explored avenues for continued security collaboration, specifically in the realms of counter-terrorism efforts and information sharing.

During the discussions, al-Araji welcomed the Kurdistan Workers’ Party’s decision to dissolve itself, highlighting Iraq’s commitment to deepening its strategic ties with Turkey. Both nations also reiterated their support for Syria, aiming to achieve stability and unity for its people and territory.
